Ho Ho Ho, it’s that time again when St. Croix welcomes Santa and the Reindeers. We don’t have reindeers, so Santa comes riding through on his donkey, and sometimes he enters from the beach on his bronco. Man, what a sight to behold! You have to see it to believe it, but here in de left lane, anything is possible! We at Higher Level VI can bargain with Santa to bring you your keys, but we cannot guarantee that he will come with Rudolph.
December is a great time to be on St. Croix. The weather mellows out with an average temperature of 78 degrees, and the incoming Christmas Winds bring tropical breezes to the island. December is when the festivities begin and the Crucian Carnival season gets in swing, but November is the pre-partying month when we all gather in Christiansted the day after Thanksgiving for a “jump up”. The all through December, there are countless Christmas festivals and celebrations. Celebrate the Christmas season at the St. George Village Botanical Garden with Christmas Spoken Here, Gallows Bay Holiday or join in the fun of Crucian Carnival by heading out to enjoy some of the pageants or vist one of the festival villages. You can also enjoy a few of the recurring monthly events such as Art Thursday, Sunset Jazz in Frederiksted, Jazz in the Park in Christiansted, and Movies at the Fort in Christiansted.
